Captain America Party

Is your boy born on 4th of July or maybe he is a Captain America fan?  This is for you!

I have 2 little girls. My followers often ask for boy party ideas.  I am really not that creative when it comes to boy themes, but Captain America seem easy to pull off.  You can also use these ideas for a 4th of July party. Let’s kill 2 birds with one stone and save some $.

My friend’s little boy is turning 5 next month so we celebrated a little early.  I used invitation, tags, cupcake toppers, and labels from I DO Invitations By Michelle.

If you’d like to keep things on a budget like me, one of my suggestions is to invite a few kids.  We had 2 boys and 3 girls for this party. It was fun incorporating the girls and still have it somewhat girly!  The boys shirts and shields are from MarlisCurlyQBowtique.

The girls tops are from Little Piggy’s Market. The tutus are from Titi’s Tutu’s.  Headband wrap for the girls from Vintage Rose Wraps.  My friend made the flip flops for them.

I think is super fun to match your food, drinks and desserts to your party.  I suggest to buy a variety of sweets.  Candy, cake and cupcakes only are boring to me. Parties in the summer are great for fruit and kids love it. Other ideas are strawberry jello, watermelon, cherries, raspberries, blueberries, etc…

I am a super busy mom and baking is not my thing…..ha!  I bought stars cookies, yogurt covered white pretzels, one cupcake for birthday boy, vanilla ice cream, marshmallows, rice krispies to make them look like flags, I made jello and mini strawberry shortcakes, and some candy to match.

I shop throughout the year.  I love finding party platters, baskets, tablecloths, etc. at thrift stores or garage sales.  My husband is ready to kick me out with all of my “knick knacks” he calls them…ha! I have no more room to store anything.

The red stand is from Classic Hostess. It doesn’t need to be used for cupcakes only. I added the pretzels and jello on there.
