Happy early Valentine’s Day! I’m sharing how I was able to pull this off with less than $100! Yes, it can be done and I will share all of my tips with you. This pretty invitation was designed by Desserts & Designs.
I love parties with a clever twist! I was at Pier 1 Imports one evening and saw these cute owls that inspired the “Love is OWL you need” theme. Not a great photo because I took it with my phone, but I wanted to show you how cute these are!
I decided to keep it simple and make it a breakfast party. The girls could wear their cute V-day pj’s, eat pancakes and play of course! One of my biggest tips is to invite a few girls only. In this case, we invited 2 of them.
I have been wanting a “lemonade stand”, but one I could use over and over and dress up however I wish. I had to ask the handy husband to get working….ha! 🙂 He doesn’t trust his skills, but I sure do! I told him the budget was $30 and he pulled it off. Look at this thing!!…Isn’t this perfect? I will share the tutorial how he made it next week.
Here’s what it looked like after I decorated it……fun right?! 🙂 Some of the decorations are from garage sales, fabric scraps, clearance ribbon, dishes from Goodwill, Dollar Tree, etc…
The food ideas were just a few. I made heart shaped pancakes. I bought strawberries, blueberries, whip cream and syrup. The heart push pops have strawberry yogurt, granola and a strawberry on top.
I went to the Dollar Tree to buy napkins, plates and silverware and I found the cute owl lollipops there….I’m such a lucky girl…HA!! I bought the candy for the candy skewers there too. The glittery skewers are from Desserts & Designs.
I had the tree trunk stand from my daughter’s Tinker Bell party last year. You can get one from Postscripts~The Boutique though. It was my husband’s idea to drill the holes to stick the owl lollipops in there….what a genius he is!!! Love it!
The “OWL you can eat pancakes” sign was my husband’s idea too! He does have a creative side 🙂 The sign was by far the most expensive thing I paid for this party. $25 to print at Staples….ouch! It is 16X20 in high quality photo paper.
It’s always a good idea to have tables if you like to host parties often. I love having mine. If you don’t have any, then borrow tables from your friends or family to keep your budget on track.
I didn’t have all the chairs for this table, but I borrowed the two red ones from my friend Rebecca from Petite Party Studio. She has the most adorable party store and you can find the paper straws, heart shaped plastic push pop containers, cupcake cups, paper bags, wrapping paper, plates, and more. Be sure to visit her shop to see all the party cuteness she carries.
The girls had a blast and loved eating pancakes with their favorite toppings!
After the girls ate, they all got a cute box from the Dollar Tree with some candy and these cute owl soaps from Pier 1 Imports. I found them on clearance for $2 each. The boxes were 3 for $1.
Sisters are BEST FRIENDS!!!
Be sure to stop by next week. I will be sharing some tutorials on some of the things I made for this party! Easy crafts to make in 10 minutes or less!
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY FRIENDS!
