Happy Holidays friends! Do you host a traditional ugly sweater party or perhaps an ornament exchange party? I do and I want to share this festive and yummylicious holiday recipe that’s been a long time favorite!

These brownie bars are seriously to die for! You can make these brownies with only 6 ingredients.

I love shopping at my local Walmart and make it a one time stop to get all you need in the baking isle. Some of my favorite baking ingredients for the holidays include, NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Holiday Morsels Red and Green, NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk, NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Brownies & More Baking Mix with Butterfinger Morsels and NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Holiday Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough! You can make sooooo many wonderful recipes with these.

I grew up in Mexico and my culture is all about cooking and baking especially during the holidays. My mom enjoyed cooking and baking for all of our gatherings. She is the best cook ever. Baking recipes is a very special time shared with my two daughters now. I love creating memories and passing traditions onto them like my mom did with me. They look forward to spend time with mommy in the kitchen. This time is priceless and one I will miss dearly when they are no longer at home.

Here’s the 6 ingredients I mentioned for this delicious recipe, but the NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels are my favorite because they add that holiday twist you want for your parties! You could make this for all other occasions not just the holidays!

1 german chocolate cake mix

12 ounces NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

8 ounces toffee bits

3/4 cup melted butter

12 ounces caramels (1 bag)

5 3/4 ounces NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk

  1. Mix together cake mis, melted butter and 1/3 cups evaporated milk. Press 1/2 of mix into a 9×13 inch greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes.
  2. While brownies are baking, melt together caramels and remaining evaporated milk in a saucepan over low heat. Stir occasionally until smooth and completely melted. Set aside.
  3. Remove brownies from over after 6 minutes and sprinkle on half the bag of toffee bits. Carefully pour melted caramel over toffee bits. Sprinkle on half the bag of chocolate chips. Spread the remaining batter on top (this is easiest if you take pieces of the batter, flatten each individual piece in your hands and place on top). Sprinkle remaining toffee bits and chocolate chips on top.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for additional 20 minutes. Refrigerate for 3 hours before serving.

Don’t these look yummy? They are chocolaty and so goey!

My family and I have enjoyed this recipe for many years. I love making it for other friends’ gatherings and everyone truly goes on and on about it!
